Pirate is a German Shepherd approx 13 months old. He was hit by a car that didn’t stop. His wrist bone was loose and could not be fixed, so part of his leg had to be amputated. He has been living at a shelter locally, but because he is not able to have a home where he can properly recuperate, part of the wound keeps opening up. He needs a home where he can be looked after to give his leg chance to heal properly, or even temporary respite care until a permanent home is found.
